About the Pharmacy Assistant Job

Job Title: Assistant Pharmacist
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Experience: 1–3 Years

 Job Summary:-

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Pharmacist to support the pharmacy's daily operations. The ideal candidate will assist in dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and providing excellent customer service under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

 Key Responsibilities:-

* Assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications.
* Verify prescriptions for accuracy and ensure proper labeling of medicines.
* Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory, including stock replenishment and expiry checks.
* Receive, store, and record pharmaceutical supplies.
* Assist customers by providing basic information about medications as directed by the pharmacist.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and sales.
* Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
* Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and well-maintained.
* Coordinate with healthcare professionals and suppliers when required.
* Support administrative and operational activities within the pharmacy.

Required Skills:-

* Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and medical terminology.
* Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:-

* Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
* Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council (preferred, if applicable).
* 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications and pharmacy management software is an advantage.
